As an experienced plumbing professional, you know what it takes to succeed in the competitive building services engineering sector. So who better to help transfer that knowledge to the next generation of plumbers? As a Plumbing Associate, you will provide occasional casework that involves undertaking workplace NVQ assessments and technical reviews. It’s all about supporting and guiding apprentices throughout their training and using your own plumbing and communication skills to help them achieve Framework completion within the given timeframes. Beyond the technical dimensions of the role, you will also help create a positive working environment and monitor all aspects of apprentice safety and welfare.
What we’re looking for
Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing NVQ3 or equivalent
Relevant post-qualification plumbing experience within a mechanical services
Good communication, IT and
licenceand use of a car
Desirable skills include Assessor Qualifications (D32, D33, A1 or TAQA), a
recognisedHealth and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely), and a working knowledge of the Contracting/ Building and Services industry.
If you have already worked with apprentices in a previous role, perfect. You will already know how to support and guide them through an apprenticeship. But if not, don’t worry. As long as you have the necessary skills and qualities, we`ll give you all the support you need.
